What is the internet?

What is the internet? After reading Small Pieces Loosely Joined, it has provided me a different understanding what the internet is. When we think about locating the internet whether under the sea, beaming from a satellite, or flying through the air on a neighbor’s WiFi, the connections and data that make up the Internet touch nearly every aspect of our lives. The Internet is Everywhere! In addition, the internet links all that hold the web together, without links there is no web. Think of it as a reference library, having all the hyperlinks that maps the web. It’s a public place, a place we can enter, wander and get lost but it is not owned. What concerns me about the internet are virus that you may encounter or the possibility of having your identity stolen. Knowing that the internet is here to stay, the possibilities of the web are endless. #Dgst101
